University of Gdański
The building of the Faculty of Languages complements urban composition of the university campus. The main entrance was located near the crossing of the university communication route and pedestrian area, where the entrances to other faculty buildings of the campus are concentrated.
The Rectorate building constitutes a dominant element of the campus and its landmark, still functioning in a strict relation with the university. The effect was achieved by using the terrain’s natural shape, elevating the Rectorate by one floor and creating a forum square in front.
The two silhouettes are integrated with the link which has its continuation in the block of Computing Centre on the roof of the Faculty of Languages.
