The concept for the building is to incorporate it into surrounding landscape. Softly drawn line of the elevation meets the line of the terrain’s silhouette.
The function of the building is a private art gallery and studio. The gallery floor was designed below the ground level, thus creating large exhibition spaces on the retaining wall with the ceiling light only. The studio is located on the mezzanine, allowing for the largest amount of daylight.
The building is constructed with raw materials – clay and concrete. The roof is covered with green vegetation, gently merging with the landscape.
